So, I've spent a short while here asking questions, and lurking around reading posts. Now I figure its time to show you guys the heap I'm working with.
The specs I've got are as follows:
1979 K5 4WD
350 SBC under the hood, to a TH350, X-fer case is unknown to me, no idea how to tell.
40" boggers (which I hope to replace with some 35"s when I have the money.
No A/C. I (halfway) set up the old compressor as an air compressor. works well. 65ish lbs of pressure comin out of it.
only half the original gauges work (tach and speedo dont)
And now for the pics...

This last one is of my 5 gallon air tank, I hook the compressor up to it so I have some kind of storage for putting air in tires.

Cool, something to play with and learn fab skills on. What are your plans for it?

in all seriousness, I have no plans for it. at all. none whatsoever. i have no tools except for a small socket set, and a couple screwdrivers. My original goal was to get it road worthy enough to take down to the local beach for when my father in law and I go fishing. Been having some issues finding parts though. Most everything is expensive, and ordering things via internet with cash only is quite a challenge...

If you don't mind me asking how old are you? You sound pretty young. Just do what you can do and see if you know someone who is willing to help you out with fixing it up.

im 24. What little work has been done to it so far has been done here at the house, with the exception of the dual steering stabilizer set up. I guess my previous statement of not having plans for it isn't true. I have some ideas for things I would like to do, but am not sure how to go about getting them accomplished.

It's tough when your young and just don't have the tool and all the knowledge you need. Anyone you know that is willing to help a little? Friends that can help that have some mechanical ability?

my mom and stepdad own a cotton gin / grain elevator, so theres a torch and welding equipment there when/if i need to use it, but its a 30 minute drive through cop infested territory, and the rig isnt exactly up to date on its registration, nor its inspection
