Hey Everyone! About a year ago we picked ourselves up a 1987 K5 Blazer! its been a project since the start but after a year the truck had a small accident and we have decided to just start headfirst into the ideas we have grown over the past year. We started tonight with ripping out the old rotting interior. We didn't get too far before hitting all the glue that was used to hold on the carpet on the wheel wells. But here are some pictures of the truck and the partly finished rear interior being taken out!

You need 5 posts before you can post pictures. You will have to link from a hosted site such as photobucket, or spend the 25 a year to become and member and you can upload pics to the site.

Welcome :thumb:

Ok I will be posting pictures soon, waiting for the next paycheck. sorry if this is a dumb question but what is TBI?

Throttle Body Injection

It is a type of EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection). 1987 was the first year of fuel injection for Chevrolet trucks. Makes them more desirable.

Well there are a few pictures. they are slightly dated considering we have most of the interior out now. Tomorrow I will upload some more pictures and snap a picture of the engine!

Sorry for the lateness...school and work have kept me busy... but a quick update i ahve most of the interior all cleaned up and the rear is pretty much ready for he bed liner. the front im waiting for someone to lend me a welder so i can patch up some holes in the floor. I have also started cleaning up underneath the dashboard, where I swear there is at least 2 miles of unused wires. As of today i also snapped the antenna off. Which i believe is not stock... 87 had the windshield antenna right? but whoever put the antenna in has the wires all crossed and i cant remove the antenna from inside the fender. which means i will probably be removing the fender this week sometime to fish it out. I will actually be posting pics this week!20150316_181631.jpg

Here is another picture I snapped quick at work the other day...this is sadly the bad side of the truck but the sun hides it pretty well!

OK so pulled out the top of the dash today. Will eventually be buying a new one, but was mostly looking at the instrument panel. I needed some new lights and was told I needed a new board. I tested every port in the panel and they all worked so I order the bulbs and they should be in tomorrow. Also finally put a bulb in the dome light. which doesnt ever turn off. Anyone else had this problem? I guess this is why there wasnt a bulb in it in the first place. We also decided to go out and take some pictures with it today with it being so clean!
