then tomorrow after work the fun begins... stay tuned

Okay,.... day 2 got the kit today... came home and tore into the rear.... had the blocks in place in less than 30 mins. Went very easy. Began tearing front end apart getting ready to do the front tomorrow, and preparing for the aggrevation of the steering arm, actually got it off very easily! Read the post regarding the steering arm to see what i did. Here is the rear with tires mounted.

Front lift went smooth as could be. Started at 9 a.m. was washing my hands at noon. Very satisfied with the Tuff Country lift. Doesnt ride quite as nicely as i would like.... but then i'm just being picky. Kit and all pieces were great. Even got it aligned today with the help of Chris at Hill 4 Wheel

Re: my 89 K5 progress day 1

Frank,

You either need a new calculator ... or I need to figure out how to get cheaper parts! I would think a $500 a month truck payment would be a steal for you ...

Sorry could help it! Love you man.

wow... it looked like it was in pretty good condition... Is it in as good of condition everywhere, and has it been repainted, or is it factory?

Re: my 89 K5 progress day 1

BlazzinOR - If you look in the spring rate chart, you can see that even the Tuff Country HD lift has a lower spring rate than most of the others. I have a 3" TC lift, but its EZ ride. I kinda wish i had gotten the HD lift. I tow with mine, and the rear sags too much. I'd also recommend using a 3" i nthe front and a 4" for the rear.

Re: my 89 K5 progress day 1, now its day 2

My carpet is sorta bad too...I had it out a few weeks ago, but decided to put it back in. I have better things to spend my money on. Go to your local Chevy dealer and order some floormats - nothing like covering up the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
