Here is my Yukon, pretty stock, So far I have done a K&N air intake, throttle body spacer, mickey thompson Classic II wheels with 265/75 MTZ's, and also put the firestone air bags in the rear. Would like to lift it one day, but it is all about time and money. Hope you enjoy the picture, I think the aftermarket wheels look a lot better, never liked the stock wheels. Also Is there a page of just pictures of 90's GM IFS? Like a Sticky?

Nice looking truck. Skip the IFS lift. Too much hassle with no good returns. Slap some 285's on it and call it good.

There's a thread in here somewhere that was all IFS trucks. Been a while since I saw it though.
 
Pretty looking thing :thumb: I've got a 99 GMC Yukon that I love greatly, it's my pride and joy :)
 
solid axle swap brackets are only a couple hundred bucks. 3-4" lift just by doing that
 
Nice lookin Yukon.

Not sure if you cranked the front end up, But I got the front cranked about 2-2.5 inches. Put 30k on it, no problems other than general wear and tear. Seems lots of people are against torsion cranking, but if done in small amounts it should be fine. Would be a cheap way to gain a little elevation.
 
The front is definately cranked, too much space to be stock. I cranked mine too, only about an inch or so... not sure, but in nearly 60k miles since, nothing is the worse for wear. Not that having nearly 180k on the clock helps things...:whistle::D

Just curious, did the throttle body spacer really make a difference in power? I could tell a huge difference in air intake, but have always been questionable about the spacer.

To be honest I can't really tell a difference, aside from I can hear the air swirl into the engine. Is it worth it, probably not but I did it because I got a new air intake, mass air flow sensor and the throttle body spacer. I installed the sensor and intake and drove it around for a little bit then installed the spacer and I didn't really see a difference. In my mind I like to think it maked a difference cause I spent the money on it. It looks and sounds neat but I don't know if I'd buy it if I did it over again

but yes the air intake deff made a difference.
 
If the fuel is being dumped in BEFORE the spacer then it can make a positive improvement. If the fuel goes in later, like just about every modern engine, then it's just a fancy anodized way to suck money out of your wallet. All it's doing is maybe putting a little swirl in the air.

Carbs and TBI motors where the injectors are in the throttle body they're good for. Anything with multipoint injection down at the cylinders they're worthless.
 
Everyone seems to say TBI spacers do nothing for vortec's, only the 88-95 tbi motors.
 
That's the thing. The aim of the spacer has been to help the fuel and air mix better.

No fuel before the spacer in these trucks so nothing to mix with the air.
