because he found that he couldnt bash the sheetmetal anymore, so its no fun. :haha:

cant wait to see the new beater.

For real. I've been know to gid rid of some stuff but I would always find room for that one. Way too much time spent. Heck you could have sold it instead of cutting it up! (To me.)

the 86. which I turned into a full convert, using the windshilf frame from the 75..

will be almost the same as the picture shown. same paint, although I am going to lay down a silver base below the red, the paint I am using is real translucent and it was way dark on the 75. this time it should look correct.:D

the replacement rig will be a 4 seater buggy, the chasis is from another member. 30 over 454, forged bottom end, 350 tranny, ord doubler is what I have to toss in,

axels are 14 rear welded, 44 front lock right, chromos and cross over. I currently have the comp 37 inch crawlers, but I feel I want to swap to some 39 .5 iroks again. yj leafs up front, 2.5 fox coil over out back, 3 link rear. 2 aluminum lower links. and all sorts of gadgatry is that a word? ill pst pics when the $ allows:doah:

plan is to have the buggy and the clean capable 86, both 4 seaters and purdy..but way different in purpose:)

early prediction... both the 86 and the buggy will eventually meet the same fate. :dunno:

dan at ruffstuffspecialties.com sold me the goodies, great guy to do business with and very good customer service.:waytogo: I did forget to order more then 1 shackle though lol

and the neat part now is I have a whole box of articles on the sacramento bee newspaper he packed everything with..

some lady cant control her kids and they have a neat thing called the race of the centry for the 13th annual shiners hospitals concours d'elegance, they are racing a horse drawn sulkyagaist a 1913 modle T,

we may have missed the race but im betting the lady still has kid problems...

ok onto the buggy fab..i also have a confession I am using modified jeep yj springs up front:D

hijack...

What happened to your hotrod truck?

hijack off...

How long are they?

finished it.. drove it and then sold it:D

I realized a problem in having "ALLAN SYNDROME"

I had the 99 burb "dd and towrig and for business"
the 75..buggy/truggy on going project
the 86..recreation of the the way tyhe 75 was
and the 71 roadster

so i sold the 71 to someone who liked it as much as I did, the 75 is cut up and now I am doing a 4 seater buggy thing ma gigger, the 86 I decided to make a capable 4x4 and into a convertable so I wont miss the 71, but I will try my hardest to keep the paint nice.. to help with that I boatsided it and trimmed the fenders before paint..

what a mess, and the burb I am leaving stock, thank gawd for ifs cause I dont want to mess with it:D

I think 42 or so I will have to measure, I wanted to use my 52's, and just like the engineer said...they wont work out that well, the jeep springs should keep my approuch pretty nice with some 42's:laugh: for now its 37's

im sure I will be playing with them trying to make them work, but with a big block for weight I am confident they should flatten out! other then that I would love to try a xj coiled front suspension, but I am pretty commited to leafs for the front now..

Where you angle the floor up side to side to provide more ground clearance between the tires. Look at Shawns' first pic. Where the doors once were the floorboards are angled up.
