Hey, new guy here. Just wanted to show a clip of my blazer earlier this year jumping in the dunes out here in Oregon. I love jumping full size rigs. I have snapped many a 1/2 ton axle in half from landing too hard. But unfortunately do not have the money for coil overs. Oh well. Check this out.
This jump was from the beginning of the weekend so I was still being easy on it. By the end of the weekend. I had jumped it so high that when I landed, I put the front end into the starter and blew the starter up. This was before I had a cage too. Note: no doors, no top, no tailgate. Good times

That's why the later model solid axle trucks have an extra bump stop on the passenger side that hits the axle. :doah:

Wtf....!?!?!?!?!?

Well, I know this post is going to generate some “Backlash” and generally I try to stay out of posts like this but I can’t help it this time…..

I find it absolutely ludicrous that someone would make a post like this and brag about having no safety equipment in the truck. Really..... no top, no doors, no cage…….no brains!!!!!!

Well first of all you are not the one doing it. But I don't like to argue and you have your own opion. :D But now I do have a bad ass cage, fuel cell, 5-point harnesses, and jump higher. But I would do it all again because it was fun and I am sure you have done stupid things before. Have fun man, that is what we are all here for. Just chill.

Not your problem right.

In that video of your friend's truck, did his front grill come off when he landed? That was impressive.

That was his front grill and the 1/2 ton axles only made it through about 2 more jumps before they broke. :D

haha i love how the grill falls off...that looks like a good time

No video, but found a couple of pics taken back in 2000 at Pismo when she was still stock.
