right now its all apart..

its getting a th400 with a dana 20 gear drive transfer case (extra foot of drive shaft =) )

14 bolt with a locker 4.56's

dana 44 with a spool 4.56's

and most of all 38 by 15.5 by 16.5 super swamper tsl's

and two inch body lift

around here more for trails and mud... im keeping it from too much lift cause i love trail running but its not like my jeep but it trys..

You might wanna hunt up some spare axles for the 44 incase. Most people that I have talked to say that 37-38" tires are pushing it. But I have also seen people running 44" boggers on them. It's the luck of the draw I guess. I'm going to hang on to mine unless I find a great deal on a 60. I don't plan on going bigger than 36's for a while anyway.

not to mention im running a spool my bro is running the smae truck but 87... he has all stock drivetrain except a th 350 instead of a 700r4.. he has 38s and d44/14bolt(both open)... he has tore up a stub shaft...

but im running a spool up front and a locker in the rear so i have to be care full and im running more gear then him he has 4.10's axles are gonna be breaking soon... lol then im just going to get some nice hardend axles..

well the dana 20 is comparible to the 300 just with differnt gear ratio.. (it is gear to gear.. so that helps a bit..) they came in full size cherokees in the early years foir quite a few years then was replaced by the dana 300...

i have one in my jeep im building with a amc 360 and a th400

hard to get ahold of though around here... and i have three =) and the output shaft that match the 20's form the th400 are pretty hard to find... you have to gut a jeep th400 and put it in a chev housing... (if you dont have a 360 to put infrot of the th400)

I ran a dana 20 with dana 18 internals in a V6 cj-5 with good luck. I like those old jeep t-cases. Your right they are a very rare find in factory form to bolt up to a T400. Some of the 1st gen K5's used model 20 T-cases as well. Looks like a fun project.

well i build trucks for certain purposes. my jeep is a strict small trail machine and my blazer is trail and mud machine... and to pull out all my jeep friends =)))) but my jeep wont nedd that help..
