I recently purchased a 1973 blazer 4x4.. It is a 350 x 350.. It need quite a bit of work. I just bought 2 new original NOS Factory Fenders for it. The Doors are good and the quarters. It sound floor work and a lot of interior work. It only has the softtop, the hard top was lost some time ago by a previous owner. I looked up the Vin it used to have a 454.. To bad it still doesn't ...

It has headers and duels and over all a decent truck... So that is a lil about my vehicle...

and for tech I dont' think blazers ever had 454s in them factory
 
Possibly I dunno I was going by the vin decoder that said the CKY in the Vin Stood for Chevy, 4wd , and the Y being a 454 4bbl carb.

Anyway... I was working on the Duels tonight got it part of the way done.. Sounds nice a lot quiter than it was... I would post a pic put I can't yet got like 9 more posts before It will let me...
 
I have been to LMC's site... Didn't know they also had a Vin Decoder.. That is pretty cool.. Thanks for that...

Hey guys

Sorry, not been around much, got busy with other things so the truck had to take a back seat. I got my repair book .. Good reading.. Today I Put in a new alternator, and fixed the back up lights and turn signals and fixed all the dash lights. None of that worked.

This was amuzing I noticed when I turned on the left turn signal they both flashed. So I tore the tailing out and Discovered the right side wire was cut and they wired the left and the right together. Shew I was like are you kidding me. The wire was right there so I reconnected it and removed the jumber going across.. I just got the Duel exhaust installed. It runs and sounds good.

Does anyone know what color wire the Coolent Teperature gage wire is. It is not connected and I cannot find the wire as of yet. I was not able to find a wire diagram that labled it. If anyone knows that would be great.

Anyway.. Hope you are all doing well..
 
Been a while

Hey Guys been a while since I have been on... I got my Blazer off at the body shop .. So I figured I need to get posting cause I am gonna have some really really nice before and after photos...

Question for you guys.. I need seats.. Does anyone know what seats make good replacements for the Original Blazer seats. I was hoping to go a lil more modern on the seats. Any recomendation on doner Vehicle years and make?

496truck...... sweet seats, did you get any of the herculiner on you?? I got some on me yesterday and it will not come off. It really sux

I was using rubber gloves so, no, not really. The lil bit I did get on the weatherstrips and in the door jambs wiped right off with that xylene stuff. But I wiped it off while it was still wet.
