My bobbed Suburban hatchback build.

35" Pirelli tires on 22" wheels -

Kelly and John's Hatchback Suburban Ghetto Crawler Build :haha:

Better not leave the Burb unattended with those things on it. You're liable to come back and see it sitting on the rotors. :haha:

I cringe just looking at it!:doah:

Can't wait to get them removed (later today)and my regular meats back on!:D

fueling up

so, how are you able to fuel up? did you have to move the fuel door and inlet? I hope to start cutting on mine soon.....

Fuel tank was relocated forward and over the frame at the axle.

No problems filling up.
The factory filler is over the passenger side rear wheel.
A hole was cut to match the part that usually is behind the fill door.
I'm sure it is visible in a couple of the shots.
I boxed in the filler neck and tank to prevent any fumes inside the cab.

A couple pics on the dyno.

Couldn't wait to get those Ghetto-fab wheels off my rig!

The dyno guys couldn't believe it drives on larger tires than what was on it.

I may use them after they are painted all semi-gloss black, for pulling the trailer to Moab

I think we can all agree that those wheels don't exactly go with your Sub. They don't really look that bad though. I can picture them on a late model Dodge or Chevy or even Super Duty pavement queen.

Good call!

They were off a Super Duty.

Guy bought them drove them for a couple months and said to my wife (who thought they would be perfect on the PW) "$2000.00 and they are yours.":doah:

Not a bad $, he had much more in them.

They still look terrible on the burb!

My wife also has rather questionable tastes when it comes to wheels. For some reason she insists on running her Jeep CJ with 33x12.50s on 15x12 wheels. I tried to tell her she would be better off with a 15x8 or 15x10 but I coulnd't tell her nothin'. So I shut up.:haha:

Sub on the Dyno.

I think this will work.
Still don't know how to post the actual video pic in the viewer window like the rest of you guys...:dunno:

The ZZ383 boasts 425hp at the flywheel.

I'm running the 700R4 highly modified, ORD doubler, 513's and the silly looking Scorpion radials on 22" alum. rims.

1st run was a mere 248hp at the wheels:doah:

Final run was significantly improved 290hp, and I still have dual catalytic converters installed.
---soon to be removed....!!!
This should just put me over the 300 mark.:thumb:

I'm pleased with that!

We need a side view with the :pimp: tire /wheel combo :D

To "embed" the video, just click on the YouTube icon on top of the screen then copy&paste the letter/number sequence that comes directly after the "v=" in the video address and wa la, embeded video, there is also a sticky in the lounge about posting YouTube vid's :waytogo:

Truck sounded healthy on the rollers.

Only had time for a single picture from the side- no video.

We need a side view with the :pimp: tire /wheel combo :D

Thanks for the pionter about the video posting--I'll give it a go later. Thanks!!!

The shop I was at was so busy they had cars in the bay next to the dyno being worked on so I had no place to get a better vantage point for video.:doah:

Couldn't even get back far enough outside the rollup door due to how hard it was raining.

I think I have a couple shots in my garage at home just before taking them off.

what kind of dyno? Those really aren't that bad of numbers depending on what kind it is. You are turning lots of stuff. Does it run better driving it?

Finally made time to get the Bumps installed

Fronts done last night.

Rears built and plan on doing the install tonight!

Rear units will be welded in place.

Had to make new rear spring plates to provide a flat surface for the bumps.

I have slightly shorter shocks to swap in also.
Not enough up travel with these ones.
