My bobbed Suburban hatchback build.

Too bad you were not able to make it.

Hope the Rausch Creek CK5 trips become annual! Awaiting pics:popcorn:

It was well worth the 10 hour drive each way.
Awesome place to wheel!

I'd probably make it an extra long weekend next time so there was as much trail time as there was highway time.

We were shown a tree you left a bunch of paint on in one of the trails.

You Said it!

Hmm google maps says 8 hrs for me. Probably 9 some of those hills in PA are gnarly.

The view was great even for the drive.
Because we cross over at Lewiston NY it took us on some smaller highways.

The hills up can heat things up inside the trucks and going down some of them made Kelly very uncomfortable.

My GPS said 7 hours....Wrong!

It was a good 10hrs both ways including 30 to 40 min at the border.

I've been known to mark my territory a time or two! If your coming back in the spring, I'll be there!

Your truck gets whored around on Facebook regularly. It's entertaining.

I wasn't aware of that Martin

I don't do Facebook
CK5 site is as close as I ever get to social media.
Is it good stuff being posted ?

Oh, it's nothing negative. Mostly just people showing it as an example of what they want to build.

Glad My handy-work seems to be inspiring...

Any updates? I miss seeing this thing.

Martin

There will be a few updates in the near future for both the trucks.

Both rigs took some damage running with some CK5er's over the last couple years.:D
Worst was Kelly's hood when she had to push me off a section of interstate that was down to 1 lane when the Suburban stalled and just wouldn't start.
Managed to find a great replacement hood after finally getting home but it needs paint etc.

My PSE steering system failure at Raush Creek resulted in us leaving a day early and me buying a complete custom AGR setup after we got home. (Soon to be installed)

New PitBull 41.5'' radials going on Kelly's truck with internal bead-locks in the next few days.
I'm CNC plamacutting some custom rock-rings for the new steel rims so there is less chance of her damaging them this year when we get down to Rausch Creek.

Once we are out of the deep freeze there are plenty of things being done to both trucks....it's -15 F here now not much fun outside for long!

Pics will follow to show the progress.

Thanks for keeping in touch Martin!

No problem. I enjoy both of your rigs (and that's saying a lot for me as far as my feeling about Dodge go.....). Just remember, there is no such thing as too many pictures....

Can't wait to see you both again....we had a great time wheeling with the two of you last year:waytogo:

Also interested to see how you like the rocker radials...been thinking about them for my K5 when the time comes.

If you haven't done it yet you should RIDE in it once:thumb: AWESOME,,, pure awesome..!:D My Chrissie still talks about that truck:haha:

After 2 years of trying to go...

Did I hear something about Blazer Bash?

We may get to a BB eventually but it seems every time we make plans for it something catches us off guard at the shop.
To take 2 weeks off in a row isn't very easy for us.
The shorter trips can be done without too much stress worrying about how issues may be handled back home.
Once my son is able to look after things more at the shop we will make time to get out for some longer duration trips.

All in due time.
The planned additions to the trucks are for that reason too.

We are already digging into both trucks.

super excited to wheel with you guys at Rausch this year, im taking all precautons to assure my POS will be up to the task!

It'll be nice to meet up this time.

We had your paint color pointed out to us on the trees at Rausch..:D
My steering will be new and fully functional.
The trails wouldn't have been too bad if I could actually steer last time.
