Here is the stereo all finished. I was going to build two boxes, each to house a single 10" up against each quarter panel (that is why the wiring is there), but with that plan I still couldn't figure out where to put my amps that would keep them out of sight. I finally came up with this idea. Probably been done before, but I've never seen it before myself. I like it as it keeps the rear bed nice and tidy with no exposed wiring or equipment. The wiring comes up through the carpet between the amps. So far heat build up hasn't been a problem. I also see it as a big theft deterrent. A guy doesn't exactly know what he's looking at to start with, and the amps are bolted to the body. THen the sub box is screwed in to the amp panel so you can't remove the box either.

where does the sound come out at?? that looks good when its all boxed up. and the theft deterent is pretty much what i used to shoot for. If they cant see it, it doesnt look simple.

The sound? They are subs in there only, I don't believe you hear subs, you just feel them.

You feel them by the displacement of air. If they cant move the air in the vehicle they arent working well. I've done car audio for 20 years. Including a lincoln with 155db at the rearview. The box there would sound amazing if the back side of the subs is totally sealed from the cabin air and they were pointed directly at the tailgate. It is a very nice setup from what I see. The subs can still be hidden with black speaker grill cloth. partsexpress.com or maybe even radio shack has it(they used to). They can still hide the amps also by putting small blocks off wood at the ends to support the box above the amps. Nothing sounds better than a properly setup stereo with subs. Even classical. I just figured I'd lend some advice. If it sounds good to the listener then I guess its fine. But it could sound better.
You could also put dowels or small blocks at each corner to raise it up off the floor just as it sits about 2 inches or so above the amp mount plate.

Only problem I could see popping up, and this depends where you live. Overheating of the amps. Of the subs are moving enough air to cool them =P If you notice they are getting hot wire a relay with some computer fans in there.

Probably at least space sub box up an inch or 2. Gotta allow for air movement, and it would help cooling on the amps.
