Here is my buddys 68 extended cab he built out of 2 standard cabs, has a standard longbox on it, he has opened up both the front and rear wheel wells, has front and rear winches.

Wow, that's a hard body line/window area to make look right. He did a good job.
However I did see that cab a while ago on 67-72chevytrucks.com

Not be be a basher, I absolutey love the truck, but o wonder why he didn't use a suburban door instead? Again I'm.not hating, I like it a lot.

Cool.

What's he doing in the rear? Seat(s)?

Very nice work!.....I had a friend who made a crew cab out of a 70 Suburban and he used the rear wall of a pickup cab to build it,on the Suburban chassis...

Only thing that I didn't like aboit this truck is the roof, and the tire on it...kills the otherwise good looks and great work that was put into it IMO---..should have left the roof original looking ..but to each his own I guess..

Not crazy about the roof either, but I'm not a fan of spare tires on the roof anyways. Then again, it's not my truck.

I think the lower white paint should have followed the body line up and over the wheel openings. Would have made it flow better.

However, it's still an awesome truck.

awesome work, but i think it's hideous. Maybe it's because they weren't built that way and since I haven't seen too many of them, or who knows. Maybe a short box would have looked better to me. Either way, cool truck and your buddy did a great job on it.

This one has been around for a while and is prob one of the best ive ever seen.....BTW, look way back, in the back ground

i'd rock the **** out of that homebrewcrew if it was 4wd...

whats so special about the 4 door turd in the background?
other than the rear wheels look like they're waaaay forward in the fender

That is just plain sick.

Used to be a 67-72 Ext cab short box around here, havent seen it for a few years though.

He isnt much of a computer guy and has been working on this off and on for the last 8 years or so? He never thought about the suburban doors, until I showed him so pictures of others. The roof was an easy way out for him since the factory roof is domed, like the top of a ball.

The ones that are done using the suburban roofs look like schoolbus roofs unless they mod them to lay flat. He is looking for an awesome airbursh guy to paint factory looking trim on like the crewcab shown above. Since he opened up both front and rear wheelwells the factory trim wont fit now.

He is still undeceided what to do with the rear either stereo, or leave it be for the dogs to ride, or a custom seat, there is only like 20" or so behind the drivers seat, so its not a whole lot.
