Nothing special here just boggerless wanted me to start a thread so I figure all the cool kids are doing it so why not. I'm starting with my $700 83 3/4 ton
The truck already has a 4" lift on it, so i'm not doing to crazy. I will eventually do a 52 swap but the goal is to get the truck some what offroad ready by mid june. I'm putting 38.5 tsls in the front and 38.5 boggers in the rear. So heres what I have done so far.

I stripped the carpet, and padding out found my rust holes in the floor that I knew about and diagnosed what I had to do to fix them. Pulled the doors, and the old bench seat and put in a seat from a 97 cavalier that I purchased a pair for 10 bucks. I then cut the rockers out to put sliders 2x6" .188 wall tube. I started losing light and my buddies wanted me to play pool at the bar. :) I did fab up a little bracket out of 1/4" angle for my B&M shifter though.
I have a built 350 tbi with a mild cam, that is going to replace the 327 that is in there. I will be replacing that next week sometime. I hope to get done with all the fender cutting and get the sliders in this weekend. My boggers should be here on friday. :)

Hey Jess, if you ever need a hand wrenchin', I'm real close (s. Canton). I'm free most evenings after about 5, and after this weekend I'll be done with my truck for a while. PM me for my number if you want.

You have a pm. Heres what I did this weekend, only worked for about 6 hrs.

Finished mounting, and installed the B&M Z gate shifter, Cut and welded the 2x6 to the cab. I still need to brace on the back side, and make fender mounts.

Cage next winter, debating on getting a winch or Xover stuff. Most likely going to do xover. Looks like WFO will be getting a call on tuesday :) Exhaust is simple long tube headers, with h pipe, so summit turbo mufflers(or glass packs) haven't decided yet. When I get my truck to my shop daryl you should bring yours down too. I'm on haggerty and huron river drive. not to far from you :)

i have the 2wd box and a 72 44 with flat knuckles.so a x over will be done ,soon i hope.i had cheapass murrys turbo's on mine, when i had the flows put on i was sorta like???? it doesn't sound that much different. thats where we cut down our Christmas trees.my fam is buried at merrieman and huron river drive.let me know when you have your rig there.it's looking good to have the rear dove tailed saturday.:bow:then see what we need to do to the front.;)

If you are doing crossover my brother has some flattops already milled and tapped (they came from Kert at DIY). He is not going to be using them. If you want I can check what he wants for them.

Yes please let me know, I was getting ready to order the complete cast knuckles from wfo.

thanks

Well I mounted my tires and put them on today. I need to do some serious trimming on the front, Not to much in the rear. The truck looks a whole lot meaner now. :) one of the pics are my 32 inch rollers next to the 38.5s, my 94 3/4 tow rig on 33's next to the k20. Ordered my x over stuff today so I can get that in next week sometime :)

alright sounds good. before we get too into it, do you know if its a 2 bolt main block or a 4 bolt main block?

Haven't got any internal stats for ya. I ran the numbers on the block it said it was a 327, I don't remember if it said 2 or 4 bolt. Anyways it has an edlebrock intake, and pretty wicked cam in it I believe.

If memory serves, no 327 had 4 bolt mains, but don't worry, I ran a 292 ci small block with 13:1 compression pistons and an Engle cam with no problems in the late 60s & early 70s.

Well I have to use the pizza cutters to get it on my trailer, unless I build ramps over the fenders. :doah::doah: My trailer is only 79" wide
