Well I was hoping to get the 14bolt and rear springs atleast mocked into place today but because it's sunday I couldn't find any place that was open to get ubolts from. I did get the rear springs pulled and 12bolt out. For Now it'll just have to hang from the jack until after thursday when my finals are over and I can get some work in.

Look at that! Somebody running directionals besides me. I'm not alone in the world anymore.:rotfl:

must be nice to live somewhere where there hasn't been snow on the ground for the last 2 weeks and below freezing until february

I got the new springs on today and moved the 14bolt into place. It may not be permenant yet but atleast it's sitting with springs on an axle. I need to go swap ubolts tomorrow becuase I measurened wrong and got way too long. And the spring perches aren't welded on yet.

I do have a quick question for anybody that can help. I need a measurement for my ubolts. the springs are 6in skyjackers on DIY4x perches sitting on a 14ff. and I'm guess I'll have minimum of an add-a-leaf and maybe up to a 2in block depending on how saggy the rear is.

Last night I put the front springs on so now it's sitting on all fours. 6in skyjacker springs al the way around. I'm gonna need an AAL or block or something in the rear it does have quite a saggy butt. but I'm gonna wait until the motor's in and the front clips back on to even worry about figuring that out.
anyways progress Pics.....

I went and picked up some Boggers the other night from "InfernalJeep" over on the ACROA board. It looks like I'm gonna be doing a little trimming:D:D:D. Need to figure out my backspacing for the 15's on a D60 and then order up some wheels and some beadlocks from Kert

That looks good its coming along just a question where did you get the sand for your sand blaster. All I could find is to coarse for car bodys.

Woah I have that same air jack! I love that thing. It will just barely pick up the front of my 79. Makes axle swaps a breaze. mines old as hell. :waytogo:

I finally went back to work on the motor yesterday. I ended up having to use a torch to get the balancer hot enough for it to slide off the crank. I am so glad to see that off---it's been a big pain in the a** for a while now. this morning I finished tearing it down and pulled the crank and cam out. Keep an eye on the for sale section if you need big block parts:D.

it's cool to see a nice empty block just waiting for brand new parts. If time and money allow I'd like to get this of to the machine shop as soon as I can.

Yeah I really want to find one more of them so I can have the whole truck off the ground.

I haven't even looked at prices yet....I'm in a good mood from having it finally apart and don't want to ruin it:haha:

Too late now...you got me curious---OUCH!. I'll have to try and figure total cost out and compare it to going with a crate motor-which I really don't want to do.
