Im no professional welder by any means, but those welds look like they didnt penetrate as well as it should have. My first welds with a mig were much worse!
The ones on one of the shackles look like it might need a little more ummmph. (just the top part).
the steering box area repair looks pretty strong, but I'd v-grind the cracks out at least, and maybe drill a hole for strain relief. I had some junk frame material to practice on. I slowed the wire feed down real low, cranked the gas up, and used a medium power setting. Slow and steady.
One thing as I went along, mig and tig REALLY hate rust/oil/ dirt. on one thing I was welding, I thought I was screwing up real bad, since I dont really have any expertise in welding. Turns out, I sanded some more, then wiped it with brake cleaner. Voila, beautiful beads.
Have you thought about boxing your frame? Now is a perfect time.
now is also the perfect time to POR15/seal up the frame!!!!! before you have to do it from the bottom!
