My C10 Lives again

Well I went and traded off some batterys at walmart the other night. I love 3 year warrantys! Got some Fresh Rotella T and a filter.

Got all set and a few cranks and she took right off on the 6 year old diesel. Been sitting since November of 2001.

Runs good and smooth, now I just need to get that other tranny in it and I can start driving it again.

Few problems. Brake system light is on. Driverside front blinkers are REALLY dim. But as soon as I click the blinker to the left they are fine.

Also my oil pressure is only reading at like 20 but there isnt any abormal knocks other then the usual 6.2 Hum. Im thinking the needle might be stuck or something from sitting so long. The alternator guage was stuck at like 10 I tapped on it and it jumped up to 13 so Im hoping it is that.

Ok turn signals is probably dust in the switch, clean it out by pulling the steering wheel and cleaning the contacts. Pretty common when they sit.

Oil pressure could be the sending unit. Locate the wire and have someone ground it while you watch the guage and see if the guage jumps. If it does it most likely a bad sender. If not the guage may be stuck.
