My Chromed out rust rig

I'm one of those guys that likes chrome, yet at the same time makes fun of myself for it. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

So, I figured when I was moving a bunch of shiny stuff I accumulated in my garage... why not put it all on the '76 K20?

I went from this:

To this:

Chrome Smittybilt tube bumper, chrome bar grille, chrome wheels, chrome headache rack, polished aluminum tool box, and awaiting a chrome rear bumper and bedrail caps.

My theory is... the shiny pieces detract attention from the rust. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Sorry, that's not rust. I can go take a picture of my K5 that the ENTIRE bedside is held on by the windshield and the sealer between the inner wheelwell and the bed floor. That's right, the B-pillar is connected to the floor with structural CARPET.

Ok, so the truck isn't the rustiest out there. But it does have natural floor air conditioning. My main point is that it's ugly.

Maybe it's the chrome... maybe its the multi-colored scheme... or maybe it's just people staring at me when the fan blade hits the shroud. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
