After buying this truck just 2 months ago and hating the factory color, black! This 2001 GMC 2500HD is getting a color change. The front half is done but the bed is still not painted yet. I can't decide if I like the white stripe or not? Its just on the hood and I also painted the stock hood but without the stripe.

You need some blue on top of the white stripe, some pencil thin trim or something, it's just a lot of white. What's the color?

I like to give my paint about 90 days before adding the trim, its got the black wheel flairs and chrome body side moulding. Your right on the stripes I had taped off the hood and was going with a 2 inch center stripe of blue down the middle but found out that the hood is stamped offcenter? When you measure out the stripes one side was 12 inches wide and the other was almost 13! I think this would have been obvious, with the single wide stripe you can't really notice it.
That color is Azure Blue (Ford color) but it really pops in the sunlight.

You could possibly do the depressed center only of the hood in blue. I think that would look killer if you can follow the contour, and it shouldn't show up too bad that the stamp is off.
