I don't think it will happen, but just because 4L80E's are expensive to use because of the computer. Sure, you could use one from behind a non-computer-controlled diesel, but those are rare. Or you could get a full-manual valve body and ditch the computer, but most people wouldn't want to do that. If they wanted a manual shift, they'd go with NV4500
I just don't think the demand is there.
