My experience with dealing with 4wheelparts.com, never ever again

Thought I was gonna have another 4WP Complaint, but they made it right. I ordered 4 Soft 8 Rockcrawlers by calling the 1-800 number. The wheels arrived in 4 days, but the idiot that packed the lugnuts put them in an open bag inside one of the boxes on the face side of the wheel. I guess you know what happened to the powdercoating. When I called back to complain the cust. serv. rep wanted to give me a store credit on my NEXT purchase, I said no, I want 4 unscratched wheels. He puts me on hold then comes back and says you got a new one on the way and keep the other as a spare. That's the way things should be handled. I'm sure more expensive wheels would have been a bigger deal, but 3 days later, my new unscratched wheel showed up at my door.

Sorry to hear about your troubles man. I don't do business w/ 4WP unless I absolutely HAVE to. They suck. Plain and simple.

the little business i have done has been shotty on this side of the country also, the guy that has helped me was nice enough but as a company i dont feel valueable to them or woth thier time cause its only a $25 part. across the street is ORW and i feel good about being there even if i dont spend money and they have had a guy eyeball my rig for free, then reffer me to another place that will do a custom part better and cheaper, or would have better ideas instead of a possible fix and my money.
i just feel that cutomer service is much more important then money, since i live in a area that has tons of truck places(5 and about 20 custom shops within 15mi), it would be even more important. i do like thier tire warrenty though :)

You know I guess its the store and the idiot or lack of the idiot behind the counter. I live in Arlington, TX and go to the 4WP in Ft Worth, TX as the idiots in Dallas are just that...Idiots. There is a guy named Jason at the FW store that knows his stuff and helped me a lot when I first got started. IF FW didnt have the parts I would go to the Dallas Warehouse to pick them up myself and save shipping costs.

I tried Dallas once as its closer to my office. I would say 3/4's of them knew less about 4X4's than I did and I was starting out. If the computer didnt have the part # they just had a blank stare or tried the old " its a rare item I have to call tech BS". I view it as ordering or buying anything. Never rely on the guy behind the counter being smarter than you are. If you have to order something over the phone, hang up and do it online. And as someone else said, if you get no, go over there head or cancel your CC payment until they resolve the issue.

Is this common ? I ordered some lights from them (in store) and since they had to order them, they charged me a few $ extra. I wanted the lights, so I paid for them and received them the next day. Doesnt seem right to pay extra to have a product sent to the store. Because of this, I buy elsewhere.

They suck in my opinion, both times I have gone to their store here in San Jose the guys were all rude retards. When I had my old truck with 31's on it they pretty much treated me like crap and disrespect, one of em making a comment about it not being a real 4x4 with those size tires. Hehe, so I went back a year later, stupid, to buy a hi-lift. They tried to jack me on the price not once but twice, so I left. Should go back and drive over there crappy wannabe 4x4s with the beast. I wonder if they'll think my 40" IROKs are too small as I crush their wimpy toylets.

In closing

4 Wheel Parts is a joke!
