Look like M1009 seats to me. I'm betting same way it got red and white firefighter paint.

Are the glow plugs all dead? So, how did you start it? Starting fluid usually causes knocking. Seems like a 12v conversion to me (fire truck, no ds alternator, non stock amp meter), so look for the correct glow plugs when changing.
Very nice truck indeed! Even the hood seems to be dent free.
What are these dark spots above the side markers?

dark spots are where some lights where. yes its now 12v. glow plugs are shot. all new in there now.
