My first "big" tires

I love big tiers the bigger the better. When I first got my truck I thought the 35's were good they did the job with the 4 inch lift but now I look at it and all I can think I can't wait to put on my 12 inch lift and the 39.5 Boggers

looks awesome, i love big tires and small lifts. im going for 3"+35's myself... to keep the trimming down and keep the 10b's from exploding.

do you wheel with the swaybar disconnected? if u do i think your gonna be trimming quite a bit on the back of those front fenders. my little 33's rub the inner fenders at full stuff. post up some pics after the trim.

I plan on ditching the sway bar in the future. I was going to do it sooner, but now I'm waiting. Give me some extra clearance.

ktedesco=As soon as I replace the guages that were stolen, I really want to do a wheelin trip. Hopefully before the end of April. Heck I really haven't tried out the Detroit I installed in December.

I'll try and remember to measure them to tomorrow. I know I'm always curious about that too.

bah, 44s are lame. Dunno about anyone else, but I doubt I can change (ie get out of the bed of my truck) a 200+ pound time. My 125 pound 39.5s kick my butt enough. 42s are my backs limit.

They are a good size to run. I love mine, only thing better will be the 40's I ordered :ignore:

ahhh 44's are not that heavy. mine are at 155.60 mounted to steel TRs. my 39.5 boggers were at 142.70 http://www.texas4x4.org/gallery/album259/bogger

It starts! I started with 33s , then went to 35s and I thought wow 35s are as big as I'll ever go! I was just looking at my truck and started thinking that the 39.5s are lookin a little small. I think I'll go with 44s next time. Good lookin rig!

Nice lookin' rig! Enjoy the tires!!!

The thing is, refering to the quote above, it's the same for me. I was outside doing a couple things to my truck and I said to myself, hmmm, 42's next time. Man, no matter how hard I try to be content the "bigger" bugs keeps coming around.

But I do have the room, kinda cut a lot of fender material off last time around...

:yikes: 142 pounds??? I've been wrestling my mounted set of 39.5's around without much thought. Knew they were heavy but didn't know they weighed that much. I'll be more careful next time I'm lifting them in or out of my pickup, that'd be an injury waiting to happen.

As for the original poster's rig, nice look. Big tires and small lift is the way to go. While I can't top Jethro's 42's with 4" I'll be running 39.5" boggers with 6". Let us know how the MT/R's work out. A lot of people on here love them dearly. Good job :thumb:

That's why I skipped the 35s and went straight to 37s. My thinking is that I will never wish I had bigger tires. Yeah right.

nice lookin rig man!!!!!!!! i remember like it was yesterday... actually it was about 6 years ago when i was puttin a body lift on my 94 pathfinder along with brand new 33" tsls with my buddy and i was like dude one day i will be rollin 44s on my rig just you wait... and he laughed at me and 6years past and now i have a jimmy with 6" lift and 42" tsls. not quite 44s but still waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger then previous. :xmas:

Im so jealous! I plan to run the 37" MT/Rs with a 6in lift on my truck. Your gonna have to fill me in in how they do with the 12b/d44 combo offroad.

exactly.

44s, 48s, 52s... they are all cool in a way.. but I also like to be able to work on my chit by myself. When I wheel I never wheel alone, but I still want to be able to do everything by myself if I have to (i dont always caravan to the wheeling spot, for example). Maybe some of you guys can lift a 300 pound tire into the bed of a truck that is 5' off the ground, I can't. Call me a wuss, whatever. Rather be a wuss than an idiot who has a tire so heavy I litterally can't change it.

The tires actually measure 35" on 15x8 rims, 35# tire pressure
