hey...sort of new guy here. Been a member for a long time, but only just started posting.

So here's what i'm looking to do. I own a 1979 K10 Longbed on 35s.

Originally i was going for a late 70s/early 80s show truck look. But after letting the truck sit for 2 years and looking to try to find the parts i'd need to complete that look, i've chosen to go in a different direction.

Here's my two inspirations:

So....anyone have any thoughts? I need to come up with the cash to get the parts i need, but info/opinions are always welcome. Thanks gang

I'd clean it up, go through the mechanicals and drive it. Looks in damn decent shape as it sits...

yeah, thats a pretty decent looking truck, I wish I could find one to start with like that.

The body is a lot rougher than the crappy 7am cell phone pics of it can show. needs rockers, partial floors, the front fenders are rusting out at the bottom along with the inners, and the bedsides are blistering over the tires.

What those guys said. Looks like a good truck to start with. Tha first thing I would do would be,to toss that tube grill in the trash. Other than that I like it!

The tube grille was cheap. The original grille was trashed beyond salvaging. Needed to put something in their and got the tube piece cheap. So that went in.
