The little round washer slid off while I was driving and then my whole pedal slid off its pin.

I cant figure out where the hook on the spring is supposed to go. Any help or pics you guys can give of how it goes together would be awesome.

Know where I can get a replacement retainer or the original round one?

I only drive with my boots. Tennis shoes don't work. Some day I will make a peddle. Looking for an old school hang 5 foot peddle.

my modified 03 dbw 5.2 pedal with stock 73-87 style rod welded on with spring .

just focus on the round rod to pedal section .

hope this helps you .

Thanks k30. That definitely helps. I saw the little wear mark on the spring but couldnt figure put which way it went on.

Any clue where I can find a new clip to hold the pedal from sliding over?

That I can help with. ACE hardware. I remember doing one for a friend now that I see his picture. Take the rod with you.

A good hardware store will have those little "caps" or washers with the serrated inner diameter that are used to hold things like wheels on kids wagons and baby carriages in the "drawer" section..I've seen them at Lowes and Home Depot before..
You could use a shaft collar with a set screw instead,or a hose clamp instead too..
