Should have started this when I started building my truck, but I'll try to catch yall up with the highlights.. My intentions are for a all around badd ass trail and rock mobile. Started with a stock 85 k30 454, 465/205, good shape truck. $1200:D Had a guy shorten the frame 17", if I had it to do over again I would have moved the spring hangers forward and took it off the rear but I had him section the frame behind the cab. Oh well...

For the rear I put Yukon 5.13 gears and a detroit in the 14 bolt along with discs and a diy pinion guard, ruff stuff cover. Shaved and smoothed the bottom of it not to extreme. Rebuilt the stock 56" pack took it down to 5 leafs and the overload and a echobit shakle flip. Just a little bit of rake with 44s rear and 31s front....

On to the front.. Rebuilt the Dana 60 new seals, bearings, etc. Highlights would be.

-Yukon 35-spine inners and outers
-Longfield super joints
-Summit machine drive flanges
-5.13 gears, detroit locker
-Ruff stuff cover
-ORD crossover steering w/1-1/2" tierod
-Hydro assist steering w/psc steering (not hooked up yet)
-DRW hubs (Running stock H1s)
-1350 yoke
-new calipers and ORD extended brake lines
-spring perches redrilled 1" back

Suspension consists of 2" lift 52s, spring hangers moved forward,14" travel procomps on the newer super duty ford mounts(need to install those)

No I'm not going to keep it baby blue! I going for the flat blacked out look. Going to spray bomb the body thats left flat black with some of the parts flat olive drab. Build a tube bed with 15 gal fuel cell, toolbox, highlift. Got a 12k warn to put on the front, going to recess into the grill. Twinstick the 205. Already put a set of headers on the 454. I built one of the 1480 front driveshafts for the front from dana 60 stubs and 1350 on the diff yoke. Turned out good. Got a lot of work left to do but just started last nov/dec of 07. Hope to get my rear shaft made this weekend. Well this will get you up to date with where I am, what do yall think? :D Have got most of my ideas from on here, just been lurking and reading and searching past posts. Thanks for all the info.. I've tried not to ask to many dumb questions...Anyone have any extra gas or gas cards to donate?:haha:

shaft looks good, im building a similar shaft for the front of mine. what size tubing did you use?

2-1/2" square and 2" square 1/4" wall. Rear is going to be 4" round with 1/4" wall. 1350 joints for now.

Sounds good, if I ever get my butt in gear and finish it. I built to tag along with my local 4WD club(Shenedoah Valley 4 Wheelers) to Crozet, Big Dogs, Rausch Creek, etc.

Not ready yet, but I'm getting there. Need to finish up the hydro assist, build a rear flat bed, dual batteries, winch, lot to do just not enough time to do it. Hopefully in mid August I will be there. Got a tow rig to haul it with now just need to pick up a trailer.

Got my bed finished up today, well helped my neighbor finish my bed up today. Got the hydro assist done, disc brakes done, rear drive shaft sleeved with 1/4" wall pipe, twin sticked the 205, fenders cut, etc. Got to cut the end of the frame off behind the rear spring hanger yet. Mount winch, battery, mount fuel cell, paint, etc. Will it ever end? Couple pics..
Bed is not as heavy as it looks. 14ga square and 14 ga sheeting..
