With no load on it (obviously).

To accomodate the 2.5" skyjacker front, I removed 1 leaf from the rear spring packet.
With bed, hardtop & gear installed, angle and height will be ok I hope.

Ok, you gotta tell me what that was in the backgound of the first pic.

Oh yeah, prepare yourself for a flood of comments about your shackle angle (which will improve with load). But hey, if it works for you - great. It looks a lot better than my rear suspension at the moment. Did the brackets come scratched like that or have they already seen some action? Be sure to post up more pics when you get it all back together.

I already thought that more comments would be given about that "thing" than about the shackle flip . . . :D

MMMMhhh, lets try to explain in a foreign language: kind of a wood loader&hauler. It's supposed to be on the back of a tractor.

It's just the paint. Being a little impatient with the POR-15, the paint wasn't dry enough when I turned the brackets over. :doah:

Thx for the comments, soon there will be some flex pics . . .

Manufacturer of that crane?

BTW, where did you get your K30? Looks like ex-nato truck.

I bought it in 1997 from one of the CUCV-traders here in Germany.

Though quite OT, I can't resist :D

Sorry to hijack! Steve GMC, see if a moderator can hook you up with paying by money order. Another forum I post on that only accepts payment in PayPal (which I don't have) said they would accept money order, IDK if they would here. Hijack off!
Dieselponyexpress, looks good, looks like the K30 is coming along nicely! That wood loader is one mean looking device! Cool to see a member from Germany!:waytogo:

Thx for all the comments, i really appreciate it.

Progress is so slooooooow

In the beginning I just wanted to do the shackle flip. Therefore I removed the bed. So, why not remove the rust from the frame, installing a second tank, replacing front fenders & wheelwells, body mounts, rocker panel (left & right) and a new paint job as well . . . :doah:

I know exactly what you're saying. I was going to just bolt the t-case and front axle with rad arms and take a spin, but what ya know, ideas change faster than you do them, and wihtin couple of weeks I'll be separating body from the frame + all the other mods I'm planning. Hopefully I'm done before winter.

But keep us posted with your project :D
