My K5 is very stiff. Help.

What about rough country 4" springs? How do they ride?
I like Rough Country springs too. My 4" lift rides good. And has plenty of flex.
Should ditch the sway bar tho. Not really needed.
Also
Those spring rate tables on this site are very old. I dont think the info is up to date.

I was looking at the nut on there today :eek1: is it me or is it huge?Maybe it was the angle I was at.
I think Im going to take it off now, what ever springs thats on there
is a rough ride.
Since its my DD I need time with some small help to do the lift.
Or wait till its warmer and the suns out longer and get an early start.

Dunno what size is on the half tons but yeah, the sway bar bolts on my D60 were frickin huge! Came right out though.

Leave it on and get some sway bar disconnects... especially because its a daily driver...
Oh and yeah the nut is pretty big... soak it the night before and if you don't have an impact gun be sure to have a breaker bar handy... you'll need it :)
Also, crack it loose before you undo the u-bolts... I pulled mine off and put it in my vice and when I hit it w/ the impact it tweaked my work bench quite a bit... so just do it while all 4 u-bolts are tightened down...

I was thinking to take the big bolts out and tie it up,just like a
disconnect. Then drive around for a few days and see how I like it or not.
Then get the kit to lower it to match my lift and a set of quick
disconnects too.

ORD greaseable bushings will allow a lot more flex, without resorting to $$ on new springs. You could preview the difference by loosening the spring pivot bolts, and go for a short ride.
You could also try some penetrating oil on the spring leaves.
Ditto plus take off the sway bar. With 35's I don't take corners too fast anyway and I love the ride. My wife says the Blazer is her rocking chair.

I took off that sway bar a long time ago. I am contemplating it a lot about what to do. I have stock springs. Stil thinking about it. I need to work it over in my head to make sure it's what I need or want.
