I have owned this 1981 /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif for many years. It has 350, TH350, NP208, Dana44/12 bolt, 4.88:1, lockers, 38" tires and is modified to fit 44 inch tires.

I was looking to get some japanese car to save some gas but now I have second thought. They are so boring! My truck is so much more fun than those japanese cars. So perhaps I will spend those money, I was going to use to buy jap car, in my /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Are those fender flares made out of fiberglass? I saw some in an fourwheeler magazine article a few years ago. They looked pretty stout. A lot better than bushwacker cutouts.

Yes those are made of fiberglass. If we use bigger tires we must use fenderflares, if not the truck will fail in inspection.

There are a few companies in Iceland who make fender flares. Most of them make them like they are a part of the design of the truck. Many of them are made so we can use the /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif on the fenders /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Yes, gas prices over here are /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Does anyone import those to the U.S. I'd like to replace my
bushwackers when they break cause those fiberglass ones look a lot better. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I dont think so, but I can check how much those would cost if you want. I know the company doesn´t keep those in stock anymore (to few K5´s left over here) but they will make them if somebody wants them.

Perhaps we can get rich starting to import them to USA /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
