There is an after market windshield wiper motor and switch setup. I am wondering if anyone has used the Detroit Speed Wiper kit Selecta-Speed Chevy/GMC C/K10-30 part number 121634. Also has anyone ran MSD Atomic 2 EFI? The cost for all parts needed outside of just the master kit. Thank you in advance

To give you an absolute cost outside the kit is kinda hard. You may throw away half those parts and use something else anyway

I build my fuel tanks with a 12-18" hose and then a union, weatherpacks at the electrical junctions. This allows you to drop the tank more easily

I personally would toss the hose clamp ended fuel filter as it isn't that secure.
I also would not use that pump. Frame pumps are noisy and more susceptible to heat. So you would add the cost of a EFI baffled tank and in-tank pump
Fuel lines? sky is the limit there as well, I typically add another $300 there by running PTFE braided line

Why an I OCD on those things? I have seen the other setups fail or ruin a guy's weekend

Umm I should have asked about the changing of tanks as well. I am running a 31 gallon tank as it is factory. What can you tell me about the wiper motor swap I asked about?

Nothing for ya on the wiper motor, other than if you source a newer GM one that fits, you can get both wiper delay and easily replaceable parts

Sometimes aftermarket stuff is niche and leaves you with no option in terms of replacement

I unfortunately don’t have the capability to build my own tank or fuel delivery system. My funds are limited to being able to buy the master kit on the EFI system and having it installed by someone or a shop that is not a backyard shade tree mechanic. The wiper setup looks pretty professional and probably the best I’ve personally seen.

I believe your 78 can take a fuel tank from an EFI Blazer (87-91), which came with a fuel pump sending unit. Just skip the 87-91 TBI pump and use a higher pressure TPI/Vortec type pump, which drops right in. Your best bet is to hit up the search function here, as all of this information has been posted.

Maybe drop a link this wiper setup you're looking at. You'll get more feedback when you let people be lazy ;)
