Watch for the muzzleflash!
It won't come on when the ignition is switched on, I can hear my disc changer power up from the deck and if the faceplate is off I can see the blinking light come on when I hit the key but no actual power to the face plate til I hit the power button and at that point I have no presets.

I can set stations, audio controls like bass, trebble, front and rear and balance once I turn it on, but as soon as I turn the key off no more presets and no more power on when I return the key to acc.

It has a reset button and if I press it, it will power off, then I have to hit the power button and everything is lost again.

It's a KRC 407 or 307S if any of that helps, is it FUBAR? It's about 10 years old but this just happened a few years ago when I was doing cookies in the pasture so the Blazer was getting bounced pretty good and the main wire to the fuse panel came off and was making connections all over the panel.

It should have a red and a yellow wire for power on the back. the yellow wire should run to constant voltage. the red one goes to switched power. sounds like they are both hooked together on switched power
