my water pump is leaking on my 91 blazer where the fan conects to the pump. and after it warms up a little the truck seems to bog down pretty hard. for the firlst would i just need a new seal or would a new water pump be better and the secondwould that pump make my truck bog or would it be something else?

It sounds like your water pump is loosing coolant through the weep hole. This is common when the bearings have worn out, and would require changing the pump. Even with bad bearings, a water pump should not cause your engine to run poorly, unless it overheated.
