Nice

I like the look, I would like to do something like that. BUT I live in NJ and it gets too cold to only have a thin coat between your feet and metal. Has anybody else up north tried this and have a solution to the cold?

So you happy with it??? It looks bad ass, want to do that sooo bad too. Some day it will happen. How much was it??? Good for you bud.

Did you do the prep yourself? How much was it? Do you know how much the liner itself weighs?

I dont know how much it weighs

It cost me $800bux OTD

How you see it in the pics , is how I gave it to them. I did alot of prep work on the wheel wells though, they had some glue (tar) that I used a propane torch and wire wheel to get off.

For the holes you want to keep, you just get a marker and do what I did. I put the OEM bolts in the holes that I needed as well.

Wonder how they got the line-x in raised letters like that??

I like it :waytogo:

They put an emblem on and then spray over it.

I like it a lot better than the stuff you put on yourself. Mine is starting to flake in some places where it has gotten wet a lot.

As for the warmth issue, put the carpet and padding back in. That's what I did.:wink1:

Right on, that looks awesome.

I did the same thing, but myself on my 79 Jimmy. I did all the prep work, some bondo and used Duplicolor Aerosol bed liner, and also the roll on Duplicolor liner. I did two coats for $80. As far as cold weather, my truck is in Reno Nevada right now, and once the engine/trans warm up, Its definitely hot enough. its kind of a drag in the summer since you get a lot of radiant heat from the drive train without the stock heat barrier. I think this is an awesome idea even if you don't get your truck dirty. I had two dogs that rode in the back of my truck a lot, and they did their business in their a couple times. I just pulled up to the self car wash and sprayed the whole truck out.

I did the cheap version and herculined my interior. In the winter its not enough to keep your feet warm. I had to put my carpet back in and now my truck is warmer than my DD S10.

I've thought about laying down a couple of coats of Lizard Skin before the bedliner to help control temperature and noise.

If you could do that on both sides of the sheetmetal and then bedline over both sides, it'd theoretically work great.

Is Lizard Skin any good?

POR-15, then a coat of Lizard Skin is what i want to do my whole interior in... we'll see someday 'cuz i'm poor now...

i know i would put my floor mat back in (just a rubber mat), plus i put some 'DIY' insulation on the floors this past summer, hoping it would help this winter, which i think it has... i also just got a headliner last month - pulled from a CC F350 (yeah, i know) from my local junkyard, and that has helped ALOT... so i think if you could trap the heat in at the top, it might help just as good, if not better, than insulation and a mat/rug...

i really like the look, did you just get the inside of the tub done? if you do more prep work is it cheaper? is it more expensive to get different colors other than black? how thick is it sprayed on?

that looks nice. now you had the same idea i did to put the interior back in over it. so $800 for the interior, has anyone done the underneath too? i wanted to some how mount the tub on a rotissoire and have the under body and interior linexed hopefully making it rust proof and get 30-40 years out of the tub. any line x dealers on this site? dose it have to be textured? i heard it spays smooth and they wave over it to texture it for no skid purposes. id imagine under the tub if it were smooth the salt and snow wouldnt stick so much. and now they make it fade proof? that would look nice w/ a powder coated frame!

i did mine myself for about $200. 2 gallons of hurculiner did 2 coats over the entire cab floor, bed, bed sides, and tailgate.

no offence, but spending 800 is ridiculous. it's super easy, and as long as you prep it right, just as durable.

Hurculiner is hit or miss. Some people have been lucky but I've heard plenty of complaints of herc chipping and coming off after only a year or two. While $800 may be a bit spendy (I was quoted even higher at a local Line-X dealer), you are paying for a professional job with a lifetime warranty. To some the peace of mind is worth the $600 difference.
