My little sister\'s new car (Ford Mustang warning)

Sucks my little sister wanted a Ford, but I must admit its cool that she wanted a RWD V8 car.

Its hit in the front but its being fixed as I type. My dad's uncle has a body shop so its over there. I must admit its the first car I've gotten out of shaking. 5.0 with some Cobra clutch, 5 speed, regeared rear with limited slip(no idea what gearing), nice coated full length headers, stainless h pipe to a set of flowmaster 40s(sounds SICK, but won't pass emissions /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif), cam(no idea on specs yet), heads(same as cam), aftermarket MAF sensor, and a bigger throttle body. Think that is all that is done to it. Ran a 13.2 at the track(in the 1/4 not the 1/8th), with crap for traction in first gear. Fastest thing I've ever driven... sadly... Oh yeah my sister is 15 /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Did it have the front end damage before or after you drove it...??? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Those cars are VERY easy to make SUPER FAST. Tell your lil' sis to be careful and not hurt herself...

[/ QUOTE ] Now there's a idea, sell car, fixed for free, and still be able to drive it. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Re: My little sister\'s new car (Ford Mustang warning)

yeah well she only paid $2000 for a 93 with all that work, and the more I'm looking the cheaper that seems. She has to pay for the parts to fix it but he has to do the work /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif My dad's uncle is just pulled the frame and painting it eventually.

Must be something wrong with it. With the mods you said it has on it it should be running in the 12s easy.
Fox body Mustangs are cool./forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thats a very fast car for a young girl /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Re: My little sister\'s new car (Ford Mustang warning)

traction, bad trans, inexperienced driver

he rebuilt the trans right before my sister got it. hopefully she gets some good tires for it, and I am gonna work on my driving skills /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: My little sister\'s new car (Ford Mustang warning)

I hope your sister is a VERY responsible person.....

A car like that mixed with a young, inexperienced driver is no joke. If I had a car like that when I first learned how to drive, I doubt I'd have lived long enough to be typing this message. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I wouldn't have a license right now if it was my car. I lost my license driving a pickup that took a minute to reach 100. Gonna have to beat some responsibility into her head.

What truck is this? why was it so slow?

Re: My little sister\'s new car (Ford Mustang warning)

4.10 gears with a TBI motor and 31" tires. Took forever to wind up. I'm sure it was plenty faster than 100 in a minute but my point was I've only driven things insanely slow in comparison to this car.

inexperienced drivers + those cars are a serious danger.

Of course who am I to talk, My first car (at 16) was a 86 T-Bird with an implanted 5.0 liter mustang engine and posi. :screwy: Every turn I ever took in that car was a fish-tail, no joke. I can't even tell you how many times I and my friends and innocent people almost died because of the way I drove that car. It was funny on the highway thoug, people would as "How fast are we going?" and the answer was always "85" (that is how fast the digital dash went). So we would be racing some lexus down 95 and speeding up, "85!", ten eceonds later "85!" Oh and best of all....the driver's seatbelt did not work.....Wow, i am lucky to be alive.

-Hope your sister doesn't die! :thumb:

shes thinking about getting a winter vehicle/ daily driver, something like a single cab short bed 4x4.

I had a 49 ford (never had seat belts with a 425 rocket motor. Had to sell do to cops pulling me over every where I went!

my buddy has an 86 capri, roller valve train, afr heads, header and some other crap, he thinks it king sh!t (it is extremly fast :D ), but when i get my 400hp 350 done and into my 92 2wd shortbed s10 we'll see whos faster :D

My truck won't run much over 100mph wide open, 33x12.5" tires and 3.42 gears and a big brick don't equal speed lol. Its got a nice healthy 350 though with all the goodies but heads and it needs a bigger cam, only got a Summit 1101 in it right now.

I like those year mustangs, and I agree on the new driver with a car that fast! Shes either gonna kill herself or somebody else.

My friend has an 87 Camaro Z28 that eats up newer mustang GTs pretty easily. Has a .040" over 350 swapped in with stock heads and nothing else is stock. Has Road Demon 625cfm carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, Comp Cams XE262 cam, headers, full dual exhaust with a flowmaster Series 80, also been converted to HEI with a recurve kit and high output coil and module. Moves along quite nicely especially considering it has 2.73 gears!
