A friend gave me a lead on an '84 Ex-Military truck. First thing after I got off work today, I went to where it was. The whole way there, I had visions of those big locking hubs and supersized parts, nearly freaking out, driving faster to get to it. I MUST buy it.

i seem to have a similiar addiction. there are a lot of us out there. what suxs is about 90% of the "dana 60 fronts" i go look at are 44's. most people don't know the difference /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If it's an M1008, just a regular pickup, which is the most popular, no.

The ambulance models I believe, were.

Yep, it's just a regular cab truck. 6.2 Diesel, rebuilt TH400, NP208, 60 front (that the guy told my friend was locked) and 14 bolt rear with a Detroit. It's painted white, which is probably why no one has snagged it yet cause you cant tell its a military truck from the highway.

The guy wants $2250 for it, but he told my friend he's take $2000. The guy sounds like a difficult one to deal with. Now I have to go sell everything and my soul (just about) to try to come up with 2 grand to wave in front of his face.
