So after much lurking. Much debate. Figuring on how I would outfit a '91, I bought an original '76. Technically I'd be the third owner, however the second owner has had her since '77. Been in AZ since '77. As good as shape as my '73 Burb that my family has owned since new in '73.

Factory tach. Fridigaire A/C, like my '73, works like a champ on R12. Don't know if I should paint her or leave her at this point. Nice '70s plaid. Gut feel is do nothing that can't bolt back on. More pics to follow, if anyone cares.

Yeah, but now I don't know what to do. There is no way that I'd do anything that would hurt the OEM truck... I guess just stick to bolt on alterations and obviously keep the original stuff.

Talk about a time machine back to my driving youth! That SM465 stick was like deja vu.

Tach was interesting. I've never seen anything other than a big needle pointing to E there!

Dannnnnnnng! Nice keep her OEM all da way..........

That thig is da bomb

Wow! Nice find! I love the plaid! IMO, if you do mod it at all, do only removable bolt on stuff, nothing permanent, just my $.02.:D That truck is too nice to chop up!

Nice truck. I have had the same dilema. I think that bolt ons will be my route too. That still leaves endless possibilities.

Yeah, I already thought about that. Bolt on only.

Any idea if later high back buckets will go in there without modification?

I'm in a bit of a quandary about what to do with the paint. On one hand it would be nice to have it fresh, but on the other, to do it right would require almost a frame off resto and then you're afraid to drive it anywhere...

What is the history on those? The spare also has the same rim.
Those rims were only available on civilian Blazers up to about '75 from my deductions and research over the years. They may have been available after that since you also have a spare that matches on your '76. They were standard equipment on CUCVs (military Blazers) until the mid '80s. They are pretty hard to find and in my opinion they look great with the dog-dish caps.

When I bought my Blazer it had 15x6s, full-wheel hubcaps, and itsy-bitsy whitewall tires. I found my 15x8 steelies on a Blazer that was for sale locally and worked out a deal to get them. They could have been ordered for my Blazer so they're technically stock. I slapped 32x11.50R15 tires and called it a day. :)
