I got my 14bff Detroit today, /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif $327.00 from Randy's ring and Pinion. They screwed up my the rest of my order though, how hard could it be to send me Dana 60 spindle nuts? /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

nice score on the locker... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yah, that does sound cheap. Was that some special deal? Details? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Congrats on the purchase! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Let us know how you like in in your Suburban once you get it installed. I will be doing the same in the future. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

When I finished laughing at his first quote, he said he had a "magazine add price." Just tell them that Drivetrain Direct is cheaper.

i just put a detroit in my suburban 4 weeks ago now and it's not bad at all, i cas see where it could be a pain in a lighter truck but in a suburban it has no effect on the steering at all. i like it to be honest. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

unfortunetly i didn't have the digital cam when we did the detroit, i have some pics of the 14bff install though.

[/ QUOTE ]our old 91 wrangler would change lanes on the freeway after my dad dropped a detroit in it. when you'd let off the gas, and the torque mechanisim would disengage, it'd throw the truck to the left several feet. it was especialy scarry when my kid sister would drive, as she'd generaly never do less then 85 or 90 in the damn thing. glad to hear the burb's don't have that kinda problem...

I love my Detroit too. I used to have a LSD that I thought was open until I popped the cover.

[/ QUOTE ]I apaprently have a very finicky Gov-loc in mine... last time I was wheelin' when I shredded one of my front hubs, I got stuck in sand... after much rocking back and forth, the gov-loc randomly engaged, and scooted me right out of the sand. time to pop the cover, and see what the hell is wrong with it.
