Hello, just bought a 1985 K5 Blazer, I'm here to learn more about the vehicle, care & best ways to improve this beauty.
The amount of knowledge & ideas in these forums is limitless.
I joined similar forums when I bought my first Harley, now I'm expecting to have the same or better experience here.
I'm looking forward to this journey.
First question is, where's the best place to get some spare keys? I've got; ignition (J) & doors (B). I've search the net, found a couple places but I'm having issue finding both keys at the same place.
I know I need blanks then have them cut locally.
Any recommendations?

At one time, you could buy blanks on eBay but you then have to find a place that willing to cut a blank they didn’t sell. The shank of the keys has a letter stamped in it to indicate which groove version it is.

Yes. I found a few on ebay, none match my set. Thank you for the reply, I'm glad there's people always willing to help.

Are you referring to specifically a lock Smith? I was thinking ACE hardware but I was told due to the age they are hard to locate.

My Ace has the blanks, but I also live in rural TX and OK. I use Lubbock Lock and Key most recently to have keys cut. Walk in and they cut them while I wait.
