after an absence from this website (and fourwheeling) Im back with a new rig and BIG plans for it. I've got a pristine Green 1999 GMC Yukon, fully loaded, from my brother. he got it from my mom after she inherited it from grandpa when he died. in short, its been babied. my brother put some 20" blingers on it that just looked AWFUL. now their gone in favor of some 17" toyo at's. that and a power programmer that my brother bought and an exhaust, it's a good ride. and honest to goodness, i get 20-22 mpg on the highway if im nice to it.
there's a lot in store for this beauty, including, 33" tires, 3/4 ton front end, front and rear ARB lockers, full-float conversion rear axle, airide suspension, winch, front and rear ARB bumpers, snorkel, manual shift t-case, manual hubs(if possible). also i want to put a suburban gas tank under the rear where the tire is for 70+ gallons of fuel. also, the quarter windows at the back i want to hinge so that i can get to the back from the sides of the rig. all in all, make this one tough go-anywhere-for-a-long-time vehicle. BIG plans, (if ever) convert it to the new 1/2 ton diesel that GM has got in the works for '09 or '10. also, (this is in no particular order) put a rooftop tent on it. big dreams, i know, but what are dreams for anyway?
