Just sold my 95 Chevy 1500 EC Z71 SB in order to put some money in the bank.
Was looking at getting a mid 90's 6 banger MT Toyota or Nissan PU but after looking at fuel economy they only get an average of 2 mpg better than a Blazer/jimmy and since I wanted to be able to tow a small boat and or VW Bug I went with Jimmy .
Found a local rig on Craigslist for $1500 .
1 owner since new and only 78k original miles .
Straight and had just been serviced 1 year ago with less than 5k miles on it since service . Owner built Landcruisers for a living :)
I like the fact that its a TBI model and this will be my 3rd K5 .
Ive had a 85 with a 305 , a 91 with the TBI and now this one . I just like how I feel "at home" in em.
Its all stock except for the 16" wheels and everything works minus the A/C and cruise .
I plan to do the rear diff fluid and front diff fluid as they were not done and Id also like to do another trans fluid change out since all they did was drain and drop the pan. That should get me close to all new Trans fluid .
What is the amount in the pan ?
Its a 700R4 trans .
Heater core leaks alittle when I have the heat off but when the heat is on , no leaks so Ill change that out aswell since its only $23 for the core and around 3hrs of semi easy labor.

I did flip the lid and replace the air filter and engine oil yesterday as well as put on new 265/75-16 Les Schwab Wild Cat A/T's
I plan on fabing a rear spare tire mount and some front floods.

No stranger to vehicle repairs since I run/operate a VW/Subaru/BMW/ Audi repair and maintenance facility .

Let the fun begin .

Going to drain and fill the rear diff today with full synthetic gear lube .
Is it 4 qts of ATF on a 700r4 pan drain and fill ?
