Looks good. I personally would have gone the diesel route but you can't beat the snappyness of the gasser when empty.

Yeah, I was looking at the '04 Cummins 600 but at this point I couldn't justify spending $33K for a truck.

I spent about half that on this one. And gas is about .20 to .30 per gallon cheaper here so my argument about the better mileage went out the window...

I may drive this one for a couple years and see how it works out. Eventually I would like to bump up to a diesel.

I think once you start towing the 89 to runs you will be getting the diesel alot quicker.

Still a very nice truck!!

I think your right. I buddy of mine had one that was used to pull a BIG 5th wheel and his bass boat behind that.

He said it would pull it fine, but the tach stayed on 5K. He put 100K miles on it doing this.

As a cummins guy myself I would have a hard time buying one of the new 600's. I have heard guys are getting low mileage with them. All the rest of the cummins dodges like mine get 20mpg. You may be able to come close in fuel cost empty but as soon as you hook a load to it you will see a big difference in fuel usage vs. the diesel under a load.

But hey, I'm not trying to bash on the 6.0...a friend of mine has an HD like your with a 6.0 and all the bolt on power adders and it's fast as hell. :thumb:
