a year ago i broke the clutch basket in the 700r4 in the blazer. i've drove it like that for a year, slippin and leakin, at a rate of 2 quarts a week. it never would completely die, even after towing a 1957 chevy 3/4 ton truck 30 miles with no fluid. but finally i broke down and had it rebuilt. now it has a corvette servo, bigger boost valve, and a b&m shift improver (or since it's a 700, i guess that's a sh*t improver"!) with 33's, it'll catch second!
