today i got the roof-7 layers of paint lol-and the hood and trunk stripped.tomorrow i will get them prepped for the needed body work.
i know it isnt a k5 or k truck but if there is interest i will keep posting pics of it as i get it done.

Very nice, I will be following along. That is a ton of body work going on that thing, good luck with it all.

anybody know how to decode the dataplate? just wondering if it is a real ss396.the owner doesnt know either.

the mods might move it to the other rides section but i say keep going with it! i love the old chevelles. good luck with all that body work

if it wasnt a factory 396 car i would just of bought a nicer, car with alot less rust, instead of one that was parked in a cow pasture in 1970......

I love Chevelles...but that is a hole lot of work, more than I would ever consider doing.

But major props to you if you can finish that!!!

Keep up the good work!

Im in love with 66-67's

I would be torn between building a 396 ss 4 speed car.. orrrrr

A camed out 6.2 ls motor, with a 6 speed..4 linked rear, 10.5 rear cheaters and electronic exhaust cut outs...

I had a 70 a few years ago that I built up and then sold. My favorite by far is the '66 though.
Sorry, but I'm jumping at the chance to be a pic whore :D

i will keep posting pics as i go then.hopefuly they will leave it here so non members can see it.i hate having to go to different sections to post stuff lol

if all goes well i will have all the metal work done and it in primer before sept 1. then i have a 58 bel air to do.it has the original 348 in it still.

well its not a true ss 396.the numbers are 136 and there is no frame reinforcement at the rear axle area.

I had a 66 Malibu, 327/4sp. worst thing about it was a non posi. Man I love those 327's.

seems to me like someone on here had a 69....hmmm can't quite think of it....hmmm.
