A 650cfm Mighty Demon Mech secondaries !!! I think it'll work. I'm still debateing on the cam. It's either going to be Comp Cams 270-H magnum or Comp Cams 292-H magnum. This carb will work with either camshaft.
 
In a big block the 270 is mild , it will produce a nice noticeable idle in your smaller engine. If you can get away with bigger, and still have power brakes , go for it /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
 
Nice Power brakes are easier . I did drive one vehicle with manual brakes and power steering that I actually liked the brakes on, 1981 1/2 ton Chevy. I used to deliver auto parts in. I could work those without getting tired /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

I ran a 292H a while back and that is at the UPPER end of keeping power brakes without adding a vac canister
