Well I was just given my next project by a family member. This car I have been trying to get my hands on for years and I finally got it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif 1956 Chevy Bel-Air with a 283 and a 4 speed Muncie from a '65 Malibu. here is one pic, there is more in this link. More pics
You'll have lots of fun with that project.
Those projects are a LOT of work, but worth it in the end.
Im pretty much finished with mine so decided the Blazer is next.
Heres mine: http://home1.gte.net/res096qi/71elky.htm
I will be sure to take lots of picture when I get started on it. yes it was GIVEN to me, no money, just a lot of promises not to tear it up. I couldn't bring myself to tear up a car like that anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
So what are your plans for it ?? I'd love to have something like that, tubbed with some big meats up in there. That thing deserves to be made into a show stopper !!!!!
Well I hope to float that fine line between hot rod and stock setup. I am leaving most everything as it sits. Going to be these colors or pretty close eventually (grey and blue).
I am going to put a set of Edelbrock 409 wheels wheels pics and some lower profile wide tires on it. I have all of the chrome for it and the blue carpet. I have got to change the carb, it has a Holley 850 double pumper on top of an aluminum high rise intake /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif, a little over kill. I am leaving the engine and drive train intact, the tranny is a Muncie 4-speed short shift, the throw between gears is like 2 inches. I plan on putting a disc brake conversion and a vintage air a/c unit in. I am sure there wil be more that I decide to do along the way. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
