I am doing as much as I can by myself without a welder. All the welding that was done, was done by my neighbor who is a very experienced welder. He does great work.
I will be doing as much prep as needed to get the truck to paint. and I'm already tired of sanding...

Ok thank god I was wearing gloves today! The patch of skin on my right hand between my thumb and index finger got pinched real bad. 
If I didn't have gloves on it would have been a trip to the hospital.

No more rusty body panels at all anywhere on my truck!!!
Still not ready for paint though...
I think the picture expains what I acomplished today:
Ok I have a picture of my bedlined floor, only one for now because the sun was creating a huge glare off the stuff.
Also here is a bad picture of one of my body mounts:
Yeah you guessed it its a hocky puck from MVP Sports. 3 of them stacked on top of eachother somehow equals 3" body lift to the PO

So I got the body mount situation under control.
Now I am in the middle of hanging my new body panels. I am having a hard time hanging my fenders so that they don't hit the door when I open it, and try to even up the gap between the fender and door. To try to shim I've been using a bunch of flat fender washers. I don't quite have the patients to do a lot of body work.

I have decided to go with white paint and I schedualed my truck to go in for paint on Spetember 29th.
It'll be getting a 2 stage paint job and they will propperly align the body panels and smooth out all the seems and rough spots. Can't wait to see how it looks when its finished.

UPDATE!!!! again
So the truck was sent to the body shop yesterday. A little behind schedual because of a flat tire 
but oh well. I can't wait to see it when it comes out!!!!

Ya unfortunately I won't be going with anything too flashy. But it will be quality paint. It'll be getting a 2 stage paint job. If I take care of it it should last a very long time. I will have black bumpers, and trim, ect. I'll probably blow a rod throught the side of my 305 before the next time I would need to repaint.
But I guess now I have to watch out for tree branches on the trail.
Update!!!!
After talking and dealing with the body shop they finally have finished it!!! I will go tomorrow to go pick it up.
They took everything off the truck like everything inside the doors, all the trim, bumpers, the entire front clip, bed, and tailgate. They painted all the door jams, everything!!!
I can't wait to get it back tomorrow!!!!

Here's my truck a little over a year ago right after I threw some black rims on it. My paint is really gnarly looking as it is last on my list of repairs. You'll get a good idea of white with black highlights will look like. My grille is all blacked out too and I'll be blacking out all the chrome when I do the cosmetics.

Well I picked up the truck yesterday, and I must say they did an awsome job with it!! I'll get you guys pictures later today. I must its been 2 1/2 weeks since I drove my truck and I must say that it is an amazing feeling getting back behind the wheel!
I had the bumpers blacked out with the wheels, the cab visor, and the window vents. My friend who has a heep was telling me that is now a mall crawler. Ya thats bull**** because I still will use it like a truck and I will still off road the thing. But at least I don't have anymore rust while his fenders are rotting away.
