my one hell of a day (OCT. 31) dial up, be ware

That little thing will take you FOREVER to sandblast. You called any sandblasting companies close. I remember trying to do my chevelle frame years ago and it wasnt fun if you really want to get it clean. Think I paid $125 or so to get it done right

I dont have anything to take it down to the place with; the lisence ran out on the truck, and it wont fit in the Jimmy, and I dont have any money to pay for it.

i'll warn you too, those little blasters are pretty worthless. it WILL take forever... i'd make sure you thoroughly degrease it with some Easy-Off, Gunk, etc.. then if you have any kinda sander (DA would be best) take some nasty paper (50, 60 grit) and strip all your big flat areas first, wherever you can fit the sander. then use the blaster last for nook and cranny type stuff...

back in the day, we'd rent blasters. get a 200 pounder, which does a decent job for the day for like $100. buy sand, you could do a entire vehichle in a day.. haven't seen too many places renting them in recent years and they had gotten a bit more pricey...

our blaster guy we have come in to blast boat bottoms would do a frame for about $150...

have fun /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

What I will probably do is get all the grease, dirt, and whatever will fly off with scraping it. Then use a sander to get it down past the rust whereever I can, then use the sandblaster in the parts I cant reach with a sander, like you said. It will take along time, but in the end I think it will be worth it...
