So I started my morning off with a seized rear caliper. Only got a few miles away from home. Turned around, grabbed some parts, and swapped it out at home.
Headed back out with my friend and an hour later (maybe 1pm) I was at the park.
But because I was late, the friend I was suppose to meet out there had already bailed 10mins before I got there. He was beat up from the morning rides in his rail and I think it wasn't running it's best.

So the day started on a couple downers.
But I was going to make lemonade dammit, trying to make the best of the trip.
Got to have a little fun, never really stretched the truck out, might have touched 4wd once.
Around 2pm I started down this hill. I saw the ruts but couldn't see how deep they were. Kinda forgot about them and stuck my head out the door to watch for them, to straddle them. I wasn't worried about getting stuck, but if I had realized how deep the ruts were, I wouldn't have continued.

Bronco, who for whatever reason didn't want to use his winch, wanted to pull me up the hill. I laughed at the idea and he quickly got stuck himself. I had no oil pressure by now. the Bronco aired down his tires and gave her hell getting back up without me in tow.

By now I'm sure my truck is all over Instagram or FB or Twit or pronhub. Every person leaving the park was driving past, taking pictures hahahaha

Several Jeep douches drove up, took pictures, and drove away.
It's really said how little help I could get.
It's ever more sad to hear people say I'm not allowed in this area. That it's "only for ATVs and such". Nobody said that to my face, but I could hear them talking. There is nothing wrong with where I am and out of the 3 rangers that checked up on me, none of them said anything.

The whole thing rubbed me the wrong way, the current local 4x4 community. (granted, it was all city douches out there)

So, $450 later I get help. By the time my truck is level ground, it's about 6:30 I think. Four hours after getting stuck.

I had some PS fluid leak out on some stuff. Cleaned off the headers and checked over everything. Started it up and waited for my lifters to stop bitching as oil pressure came back. Blue smoke for a LONG time idling. I let it warm up more and raised the idle to help burn it all off.

glad the fire trucks were called LOL

Truck drove home like nothing happened. It never fails me, that truck. Took the 80 miles @ 70mph drive home like the champ it is.

Gotta clean up more PS fluid.
Front fender is pushed in :(

Thats just messed up, always thought that part of wheeling was helping others, thats part of the fun.
Very impressive stuck thou. one of those cases that a rear winch would have been a big help.

Was that at Gorman ?

On the plus side...I really like the way you did the sliders & transfer case cradle.

If we can just get a few others to post pics at that angle so I can get more ideas...
 
Did you at least do a nut and bolt check while waiting for the tow rig?
 
Dang Brent, sorry about your mishap. Damage actually doesn't look to bad considering.
 
To be fair, I had several folks that just wanted to hang around and watch. Made for good conversation and laughs. None of them could help but I got 2 free Coors Lights and a bottle of water out of the mess. LOL And I jumped back in to retrieve my subway sandwich, was getting hungry. :)
 
Glad that it came out better than it could have. That would have some serious pucker factor!
Definitely sucks about how people acted.
 
Lol, not sure what would have been worse, the Chinese butt whoopin or rolling and getting a knot on your head hahahaha. :haha::doah:
