this is what got me into wheeling, and made me want to go bigger and better.

bought it wrecked just a year ago in january of 2008.
1995 Jeep grand cherokee.

PO slid into a poll, this is how the pass side door would shut, it swung up as it swung closed.

unbolted, and ratched strapped the door in place for the time being, kept water out anyway. added some swampers out back and general type MT's up front, cut swaybars, welded rear and beat it as is

had some issues first trip out, ran like crap. also busted the sunroof using it as a means of egress

swampers only lasted one trip, upgraded to tractor tires out back. added 2" coil spacers as well to help with rubbing issues

essentially that is how it stayed, other than made some bumpers for it, but they are nothing to be proud of, just scrap steel i had and welded up. nothing fancy.

did fix teh passenger door. a come along and a hammer, it now works just like any other door, and with smoothly as well. it was actually a very easy fix

but it sure got beat on, and hard.

badlands last year. busted from CV joint early on first day, so wheeled all weekend in 2wd. tractor tires saved me, would not have made it anywhere on swampers.

and at a local event, bubbafest. plus many other trips in between. found the ZJ's limits yet continued to push them farther. after this event, it was decided to go bigger and better. me and my older brother both bought 77 chevrolets as starting points for new rigs.

gotta love when you can hammer on something insanely and it wont break......just push it faster and harder and she just keeps on taking it........

I like the way you fixed the sun roof. That shot of the rear with the tractor tires looks awesome.

I've got a 94 Grand Cheorkee for a DD. I hate that thing with a passion. The motor is worn out and the trans is starting to slip, but it still starts and refuses to die. The most I've had to do to it is the fuel pump and a battery.

this thing has taken the beating of a life time. it is getting hard to start now, but refuses to give up ghost still

where there is a will, there is a way lol.

the fuel pump in this one is going, we cut a hole in the floor above it, so i can remove the pump in about 10 minutes now without dropping the tank. it will start to cut out, so i pull over, pull the pump, clean teh screen on teh bottom of it and it is good to go for a few more weeks.
