Hi, My name is jeff and this is my blazer. I Havent used it much in the past 2-3 years and the floors have rusted badly. The rust has gotten to the rockers floor and supports in the cab. The rear floor some how managed to stay rust free other then the tailgate pan which will need to be fixed. Im looking to fix this the cheapest way possible. I have a welder and would like to do this repair my self with the help of my uncle who hs been welding for 30+ years.

I have a few truck hoods I want to cut up for floor pans and make my own floor supports. I could really use some help getting started. I dont really know how im going to go about doing the floor supports and was hoping you guys can get me pointed in the right direction.

Rusty

It's not that bad, the interior is probaly the worst. Get yourself some replacement parts, cut the rot and then get to welding. I did my passanger side this past year and now I have to do the driver's side. Good luck!

looks alot similar to my 90 im redoing as we speak. can email you pics if you like? buy a couple spot weld cutters, and find donor parts or buy new i did both.

i hope you have a mig welder. its not as bad as it looks trust me im doing a 76 k5 and my floors and rockers were completely gone. you can patch some of it up the cheap way to just with regular sheet metal and :hack: cut it to size. but what ever you do good luck and if you have any questions shoot cuz after my blazer im a pro at rust repair. good luck cant wait to see how it turns out.
