Hmm, thanks bro, that may complicate things.
Width outside to outside and inside to inside of the 88-98? How about side profile shape of horns? Section height of horns? Overall frontal dimensions of front clip?
I know this sounds dumb but, I have always liked the ARB bumpers ever since I saw one in the mid-nineties on a Defender 90. Last night I had the crazy though of putting one on the Jimmy and am trying to figure out a way to make that a reality!
Yeah, could get somebody to fab a custom bumper that looks like an ARB but, it just wouldn't be the same, it wouldn't be the bumper that I have been a fan of since before I got a license! It seems (based off pics) that it should be a pretty close match up (88-98 bumper, couple mounting tweaks, 87 K5)?

Just looked over their installation instructions for the 88-98 bumper, they make it pretty clear that the do not want anyone modifying their products or trying to fit them onto vehicles other then the ones they are designed for. Totally understandable in terms of their product liability and in terms of warranty claims but, kinda makes me worried that they won't be very helpful in figuring out whether it'll fit or not! I'll try calling them Monday anyway, worst they can say is a blanket "it won't work" statement, LOL! Wish I had the disposable funds to just buy one and try it out!
